About!
First annual Positively Danville Area Most Spooktacular House Competition! Our friends and neighbors are bringing Halloween to life and BOO-tifying our community with fab-BOO-lous and frightfully FANG-tastic decorations. You get to help decide 'WITCH' house deserves the bragging rights for the title of Positively Danville Area Most Spooktacular House!
The Tour!
A Spooktacular Houses self-guided tour with mapped route and voice-guided driving instructions, created by Positively Danville Area, is available so you can enjoy seeing all without worrying about entering each address or searching for directions. The route takes you on a fun little trip around the city of Danville in a logical manner to and through each neighborhood to optimize viewing of displays without wasting time. Positively Danville Area personally drove to each location, assessed each house display for optimal viewing from your vehicle, and first plotted the route on a paper map before creating the map in Google My Maps. The tour requires Google Maps App. A link to download the routes will be provided when purchased. Click on "Get the Tour" button to open the page for more information and a link to purchase the tour guide.
Spooktacular houses entered in the competition can be found in the Heights, Center City, Legionland and Chesterfield neighborhoods, near Lake Vermilion, and in Denvale. All will be marked with a yard sign and are worth the drive so you can pick 'WITCH' one is your FANG-orite! The tour takes approximately 1 hour to see all 16 houses, not including travel to and from your location. The tour route incidentally includes many bonus houses that are worth seeing but did not enter the contest as well!
